First Painting

This is an older painting of mine. I do realize I am no pro, but I really love to paint. I was inspired to do this one after seeings other paintings across the web.
I painted this with no one person in mind. After I finished it I realized that it looked like an older version of my daughter Sara. So that is why it is called “Sara and bird”. It is done in basic acrylic, cheapest I could find and inexpensive canvas.
When I look at this painting I am struck by how calm Sara looks. She looks blissfully connected to everything around her. I feel like this sometimes. I feel a part of the universe, all inter-connected with everything, animals, plants etc. I feel like I could float away and blend in to my surroundings.
I value those rare connectivity moments. I feel peace and hope. To me, that is all we need. That is God if you need a label.
